FEPA represents energy transmission pipeline companies operating in Florida. FEPA was reestablished in 2004 by major Florida intrastate and interstate transmission pipeline operators to:

• Encourage a thoughtful dialogue among varied interests involved with the Florida energy pipeline industry on issues of common concern such as pipeline safety and integrity, environmental stewardship, regulatory efficiency and landowner relations;
  
• Provide access to the latest thinking on energy pipeline infrastructure development in the Florida market;
  
• Articulate the safety, environmental and economic benefits of pipeline transportation into and within the state of Florida;
  
• Complement the external affairs efforts of member companies by building a positive identity for the pipeline industry in Florida through education and communication with representatives of Florida state and local governments;
  
• Serve as a clearinghouse for timely and useful information regarding the activities and actions of Florida regulators, environmental organizations and other relevant groups.
